Office of the Superintendent

Daniel Farley became the Superintendent of Schools for USD 509 South Haven in 2023. He grew up in Wellington, KS, went to Wellington High School. and then Wichita State University where he received both his Bachelors and Masters Degrees. Daniel has served in education as a teacher, coach, and administrator for 14 years in places such as Wichita, Manhattan, Clay Center, and Wellington.  He is currently working on his doctorate degree from Kansas State University. He has been married to his wife Trista for 14 years and they have a puppy named Reuben. In his spare time he enjoys reading writing, streaming his favorite shows, and traveling with Trista. 

Mr. Farley has stated, "Education is my passion. My goal in whatever role I serve is to lead with positivity and in the service of others."
